Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Hargeisa Theatre Market ("HTM", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace connecting customers in Hargeisa, Somaliland with independently owned and operated vendor shops ("Vendors"). These Terms govern your use of the HTM website and account.

2. Accounts

Customer accounts are created through self-registration with a name, email address, and password; a one-time verification code is sent to your email before the account becomes active. Vendor accounts are created only by HTM administrators — there is no public vendor sign-up.

3. The Marketplace Role

HTM is a marketplace, not the seller of record for Vendor products. Each Vendor is responsible for the accuracy of their own listings, their own stock, and fulfilling orders placed with their shop. HTM facilitates the transaction, payment collection or coordination, and delivery logistics.

4. Orders and Payment

Prices are shown in US Dollars (USD), the platform's official currency. At checkout you may choose to pay in USD or, where enabled, in Somaliland Shillings (SLSH) at an exchange rate set by HTM administrators; the USD amount remains the official amount owed regardless of which currency you choose to pay in.

Available payment methods depend on what HTM has enabled at the time of your order — Cash on Delivery is generally available; mobile money and card payment may be offered in some markets.

5. Delivery

Orders are delivered by HTM-affiliated drivers or, for some shops, by the Vendor directly. Delivery is confirmed using a one-time code shared with you when your order is ready — you or whoever receives the order should keep this code private until the driver arrives.

6. Problems With an Order

If something goes wrong with an order, you can report it directly from your order's detail page. See our Returns Policy for how reports are reviewed and resolved.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform: no fraudulent orders, no abuse of Vendors or drivers, no attempts to circumvent payment or verification, and no unlawful use of the marketplace.

8. Limitation of Liability

HTM is not the manufacturer or seller of record of Vendor products and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, is not responsible for defects, delays, or losses caused by a Vendor's own conduct.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of HTM after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
